Bessie began her career as an Operating Room Technician and enjoyed that for 6 years.  During those 6 years, she took care of several patients with intellectual disabilities during their surgical procedures.  This helped her make the decision to pursue the field of working with people with disabilities. 

 

She joined Pacesetters as Direct Support in May 2000.  She worked both jobs full-time for a little over a year until she decided to only work at Pacesetters.  Bessie has held many positions over the years while being here and has enjoyed her years at Pacesetters.
