Salaried Exempt Position

Qualifications

  • Supervisory and management experience (minimum of two years preferred)
  • Experience in the field of disabilities preferred
  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED required, college degree preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership/management skills through fair and consistent treatment of all people
  • Compassionate and empathetic advocate for individuals with disabilities
  • Demonstrated level of comfort with conflict resolution, problem solving, decision making
  • Demonstrated person centered behavior
  • Commitment to team development, team processes and accountability
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Self motivated and self directed (self direct in thoughts and actions consistent with the direction of Pacesetters)
  • Excellent time management-THIS IS A MUST
  • Team player, Creative, Flexible and Professional
  • Knowledge of or experience with the development of training specifics for person’s supported
  • Demonstrated understanding of vision which embraces:
    1. Individual Needs
    2. Team oriented provisions of supports and services

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • This person/position is the designated trainer for the caseload assigned to the specific County Division
  • Develop Training Specifics to the Needs of the Individual for the caseload assigned to each specific County Division
  • Work with Home Managers (HM), Residential Supervisor, and County Director to ensure all new and existing staff who work with the persons supported assigned to the caseload are sufficiently trained prior to working with the person supported
  • Work with ancillary training entities i.e., Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, Nutritionists, and Behavior Analysts and become a designated trainer for all training for each person supported assigned to the caseload
  • Maintain an organized system for training records related to all training specific activities for all staff who work with the persons supported

1. This does not pertain to the management and training through Relias or training required through NEO classes, Medication Administration or CPR/FA however, checking with the HR Training Coordinator to ensure these classes have been completed may be required

  • Work hours are subject to operational need but do not include direct care support
  • Required participation in bi-monthly management meetings conducted in-County with all Residential Supervisors, Training Supervisors, County Director and members of the Executive Team.
