Shannon joined Pacesetters family in December 2012 as a Direct Support Professional aka DSP. Since joining Pacesetters family, Shannon has seen many changes and growth within Pacesetters and herself. In March 2015 she stepped into a manager position overseeing the operations of 5 homes. During her time as a manager, she enjoyed the work and the connections she made with her staff. Overcoming the challenges and staying positive.

 

Shannon’s next journey at Pacesetters began when their was an opening for the Macon County Director. She was unsure that she could be the leader that Macon needed and she hesitated to apply for the position. Having a daughter Shannon thought to herself, "how could I tell my daughter to step up and out of her comfort zone if I was not willing to do so myself?"

 

Shannon did accept the role as County Director aka CD in Macon County in October 2018. Shannon is excited about the future and her journey with Pacesetters as it continues to grow and better support the lives of others.

 

When Shannon is not at Pacesetters she loves spending her time with God and her family. Shannon is now a youth leader in her church. Shannon has also started a group for women to empower them in God. Studying his word and having a deeper understanding of his love and mercy.
